The Center for Geomicrobiology was founded 1st October 2007 with a 10-year funding perspective as a Center of Excellence under the Danish National Research Foundation. We will celebrate this milestone with an inspiring mini-symposium and a tasty buffet for all our colleagues and collaborators at Aarhus University. The celebration takes place at:

Friday, 29th September 2017, at 13:30-16:30

Program:

•Dean of Science & Technology, Professor Niels Christian Nielsen: The importance of Centers of Excellence at Aarhus University.

•Professor Andreas Kappler (University of Tübingen): Iron Geomicrobiology in Aarhus Bay sediments – minerals, batteries and power lines.

•Professor Donald E. Canfield (University of Southern Denmark): Calibrating Earth history with organismal physiology.

•Professor Bo Barker Jørgensen (Head of Center): Ten years of discovery in Marine Geomicrobiology.

•After these talks a buffet with drinks is served for all participants in the beautiful entrance hall of AIAS.
