The Workshop marked the 10 years of the Center for Geomicrobiology, Aarhus University and the Retirement of Professor Bo Barker Jørgensen.

A lot of hard work went into making Marine Geomicrobiology go off so smoothly. The Center would like to thank all who made it happen and for making this a most inspiring meeting - three days of scientific talks and posters at the highest international level, covering nearly all aspects of Marine Geomicrobiology.

The Conveners - Bo Barker Jørgensen, Hans Røy and Kasper Urup Kjeldsen - reviewed a mountain of submissions and planned and ran the conference.

The Local organizers - Maj Thimm Carlsen, Sissel Rønning, Lara Jochum, Caitlin Petro, André Pellerin, Caroline Scholze and Inga Barker Jørgensen - co-organized and managed the event, the technical aspects and not least collected the abstract book.

Our hosts, Sandbjerg Manor did an excellent job and helped make Marine Geomicrobiology look well-run, and professional.

Thank you to the Marine Geomicrobiology Sponsors! Without your support, both in sponsoring the event itself and in your contributions to the Center, the workshop could not have been such a success.

A big thank you to all of the Marine Geomicrobiology speakers! There are too many of you to name individually, but if it were not for you such an informative and valuable workshop would not have been possible.

Last but not least, the invited participants. Thank you all for coming to Sandbjerg and participating actively and with enthusiasm and positive spirit. Without you, there would be no workshop, so once again thank you so much for your attendance and support.

All helped to make the workshop a success. Thank you!
